Ingredients
Dressing
- ⅓ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup Crystal sour cream
- ¼ cup Crystal buttermilk
- 2½ tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons chives, roughly chopped
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- ½ cup crumbled blue cheese
Tomatoes
- ½ cup cherry tomatoes
- ½ tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
Salad
- 1 medium head iceberg lettuce, sliced into 4 wedges
- 4 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1 avocado, diced

Step 1
Prepare the buttermilk blue cheese dressing:
In a medium sized bowl, add all dressing ingredients and stir to combine. Refrigerate the dressing while you prepare the salad ingredients. -
Step 2
Roast the tomatoes:
Heat the oven to 400 °F. Place the tomatoes on a sheet pan, drizzle over the olive oil, and season with salt and pepper. Roast until the tomatoes collapse, about 10 minutes. Set aside. -
Step 3
Assemble the salad:
Divide lettuce wedges amongst four plates, add tomatoes, crumbled bacon, and avocado. Drizzle with buttermilk blue cheese dressing. Garnish with more chives.
