Oaxacan Hot Chocolate
A rich and spicy sipping chocolate recipe with cinnamon that is perfect for wintry weather.

Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup Crystal Whole Milk
- 75 grams Oaxacan chocolate tablets or high-quality dark chocolate (75% cacao or more), coarsely chopped
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon, plus more for dusting
- 1-3 tablespoons granulated sugar, to taste
- 2 cinnamon sticks, for serving

Step 1
Pour the milk and water into a saucepan and bring to a boil.

When the milk and water mixture is boiling, take it off the stove and add the chocolate, mixing vigorously with a wooden molinillo or egg whisk until white froth forms. -
Step 3
Add cinnamon and stir. Add sugar to taste. -
Step 4
Garnish with a cinnamon stick and more powdered cinnamon, if desired.
