Heavy Whipping Cream
Directions
-
Step 1
Wash the apples under hot water to get off any wax coating, then dry thoroughly removing as much wax as possible. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Set the apples stem side up, and push the sticks down into the apple cores; set aside. -
Step 2
Place caramels and cream in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high in 30 second intervals, stirring after each one, until caramel is melted and smooth, about 1½ -2 minutes.
-
Step 3
Hold apple by the stick over the bowl and spoon caramel over the apple. Allow the caramel to run down the apple and scrape bottom to remove excess caramel. -
Step 4
Refrigerate the apples until set, at least 10 minutes. The apples can be made and stored in the refrigerator up to 1 day in advance. -
Step 5
Heat candy coating according to package directions. Remove apples from refrigerator and dip each in the vanilla candy coating, allow to set for a few seconds. When coating has slightly set, roll the bottom half in cinnamon graham cracker crumbs. Sprinkle entire apple with cinnamon and sugar and set aside. Repeat with remaining apples.
