Sprinkle Holiday Cookies
A colorful, crowd-pleasing treat that is perfect for cookie swaps or holiday gifting, create a batch of these festive sprinkle holiday cookies to add a little extra cheer to your holiday table.
Ingredients
Cookies
- 3½ cups flour, all purpose
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup Crystal unsalted butter, softened
- 8oz. cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Festive sprinkles
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon or cardamom (optional)
Glaze
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 °F. -
Step 2
Combine flour, baking powder, and salt and set aside.

Add butter and cream cheese to a large bowl and mix with a hand mixer or stand mixer until combined.

Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla and mix well.

Fold flour mixture into wet mixture. You will get a fairly thick dough that will keep its shape.

Roll into 1.5 inch balls. Press one side of cookie balls into a bowl of sprinkles and place the cookies sprinkle side up on a baking sheet. Cookies will not spread when baked. You should get roughly 48 cookies. -
Step 7
Bake at 350 °F for 15-18 minutes until cookies are slightly brown on bottom.

While the cookies cool, prepare the glaze.

Step 9
Combine all glaze ingredients in a bowl until smooth.

Step 10
Once cookies are completely cooled, drizzle the glaze over the cookies.
