Halloween Frankenstein Creamy Avocado Dip
Delicious on its own but even more fun as a Halloween party appetizer, this creamy avocado dip is so yummy and simple to make! In less than 15 minutes, you’ll have yourself a zesty dip packed with fresh flavors.

Ingredients
- 2 ripe avocados, cubed
- ½ cup Crystal sour cream
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped cilantro
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon lime zest
- 1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh garlic (or ½ teaspoon garlic powder)
- 1 jalapeno, seeded and finely diced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- For the Frankestein: 3 olives, 2 medium pretzel sticks, balsamic glaze or black gel icing

Step 1
Place the avocado, sour cream, cilantro, lime juice, lime zest, garlic, jalapeno, salt, pepper and cumin in the food processor. Process until completely smooth, about 2 minutes. Taste and add more salt if desired. Place on a platter and serve with purple corn chips. -
Step 2
Note: to make this recipe a “Frankenstein” Dip, arrange dip in a rounded rectangle on the bottom 2/3 of a large platter. Place two dollops of sour cream on dip for “eyes.” Set sliced olives on sour cream to create for pupils. Place 2 large black olives on pretzel sticks near the bottom to create the “neck bolts”. Draw a craggy smile and suture mark with balsamic glaze (or black gel icing.) Arrange purple chips at the top of the platter for “hair.” Refrigerate until ready to serve.
