Eggnog Chocolate Sauce

This decadent chocolate sauce seems fancy, but it's so easy to make. Pair with biscotti, fruit or in hot chocolate—the possibilities are endless. Prepare ahead of time for a delicious and unique holiday gift from the kitchen.

  • ¾ cup Crystal eggnog
  • ¼ cup Crystal butter
  • 1 bag milk, dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¾ teaspoon rum extract

  • Step 1

    Heat eggnog and butter in a medium saucepan over very low heat.

  • Step 2

    Add chocolate and cook, stirring frequently, until chocolate is almost melted.

  • Step 3

    Remove from heat and stir until fully melted; stir in extract.

  • Step 4

    Pour into decorative bowls or canning jars. The recipe should fill roughly two 10-12 oz. jars.

  • Step 5

    Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. 

    May be prepared several weeks ahead.
