One Pot Ground Beef Stroganoff
This is the perfect beef stroganoff! Creamy, rich, and filling, it’s a perfect meal for those family dinners, having guests over, or just to enjoy yourself. The red wine adds depth to the sauce, and as fancy as it all sounds, it’s as easy to make as any other pasta dish.
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons Crystal butter
- 1.5 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 12 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, finely chopped
- ¼ cup red wine
- 3 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 8 ounces egg noodles, uncooked
- ½ cup Crystal sour cream
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Step 1
In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add ground beef, and cook for about 4-5 minutes, until brown. Season with salt and pepper. Remove beef from pan with a slotted spoon, and set aside. In the same pan, add mushrooms and onion. Saute for 3 to 5 minutes, or until mushrooms are tender. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in garlic, nutmeg and thyme and cook for about 1 minute.

To the pan, slowly add wine, and beef stock, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the saucepan. Add dijon mustard, lemon juice and egg noodles. Bring to a boil, cover and then turn heat down to low and simmer for 8-10 minutes, or until pasta is cooked. Stir in ground beef. Turn off heat. Stir in sour cream, salt and pepper. Garnish with parsley, if desired and serve.
