Where Central Valley Flavors Meet Creamy Favorites

As California’s oldest dairy, we've called the Central Valley home since 1901. We invite you to celebrate our region's incredible flavors by pairing signature specialties with some of our creamy favorites.

California's Central Valley is an agricultural powerhouse. Stretching over 400 miles through the heart of the state, it produces over a quarter of the nation's food. The rich, fertile soil and Mediterranean climate create near-perfect conditions for growing everything from stone fruit and citrus to tree nuts and vegetables. While every corner of the Valley has its own agricultural treasures, we've selected a few iconic pairings to celebrate. Each region has its own signature specialty—from Fresno's famous raisins to Stockton's asparagus to Yuba City's juicy peaches.

Yuba City: Peach & Cottage Cheese Breakfast Bowl

Yuba City, located in the Sacramento Valley, is renowned for its exceptional peaches, celebrated each year at the Marysville Peach Festival. Sutter County is consistently one of the top peach-growing areas in the Sacramento Valley. For a nourishing breakfast that captures the essence of summer in the Central Valley, layer fresh sliced peaches with creamy Crystal Cottage Cheese, a drizzle of honey, and a sprinkle of granola. This protein-rich bowl showcases why the region's peaches are considered some of the sweetest in California.

Modesto: Almond Butter & Vanilla Ice Cream Affogato

Modesto sits in the heart of Stanislaus County, where almonds are one of the area's most important crops. As an ode to the region's specialty, we recommend whipping up a three-ingredient affogato: two scoops of classic Crystal Vanilla ice cream, topped with warm almond butter and espresso. It's sweet, simple, and perfectly balanced—a celebration of Central Valley almonds in every spoonful.

Stockton: Roasted Asparagus with Lemon Sour Cream Drizzle

Stockton has been famous for asparagus since the 19th century, when the crop helped put the city on the agricultural map. Though production has declined in recent decades, Stockton's legacy lives on through the annual San Joaquin Asparagus Festival each spring. Celebrate this iconic vegetable with roasted asparagus spears drizzled with a simple sauce made from Crystal Sour Cream, fresh lemon juice, and herbs. It's fresh, tangy, and perfectly showcases Stockton's signature crop.

Fresno: Raisin & Chocolate Milk Smoothie

The San Joaquin Valley has been California's raisin heartland for over a century, with Fresno County at its center. Home to Sun-Maid and countless raisin grape vineyards, the region produces the majority of America's raisins. Sip on a smoothie inspired by this iconic crop—a naturally sweet, energizing blend of raisins, Chocolate Low Fat Milk, and frozen banana. The raisins add natural sweetness and a hint of caramel flavor, while the chocolate milk makes it irresistibly creamy.

Bakersfield: Orange Creamsicle Float

Kern County, anchored by Bakersfield in the southern San Joaquin Valley, produces nearly a quarter of California's citrus, making it one of the state's premier citrus regions. The area's ideal climate yields some of the sweetest navel oranges you'll ever taste. Pour freshly squeezed orange juice into a glass and top with scoops of Crystal Vanilla Ice Cream for a nostalgic creamsicle float that tastes like sunshine in a glass. It's the perfect way to enjoy California citrus year-round.
