Crystal Creamery Celebrates 120 Years!
We have been extremely proud to serve you, our community, with the freshest local dairy products since 1901. Now... it's time to celebrate!
120 years in business is a big deal. We celebrated this milestone anniversary in the best way we could think of: Handing out ice cream scoops at the California State Capitol in Sacramento, near our Central Valley home.
Our 1920s vintage ice cream truck was on full display as Crystal employees scooped our limited edition Birthday Cake ice cream to legislators, staff lobbyists and visitors to Capitol Park.
During the tasting we met with Karen Ross, Secretary of the California Department of Food and Agriculture, and Deputy Secretary Rachel O'Brien. Crystal Creamery was recognized for our long-standing commitment to the community with an official California Senate Resolution.
We ended our daylong celebration on the Sacramento Rivercats baseball diamond, where Crystal Creamery ice cream manager Eddie Scoto threw the first pitch of the game. Crystal Creamery has been a long standing sponsor of the Rivercats and other local baseball teams, so needless to say, it was the perfect end to a perfect day.
It's hard for us to express the pride we feel in having served our community for all these years. We hope you'll celebrate this occasion with us: Look for our 120th anniversary milk cartons and 120th anniversary Birthday Cake ice cream in stores now.
